There’s this rather dangerous game that couples like to play called “sexception.” Each of you identifies one person they’re allowed to cheat with should the opportunity arise. When my wife asked who my sexception would be I smelled danger. “Why, there’s no one else but you,” was my answer. It’s not that I don’t understand the game, you pick some attractive movie star or starlet, someone you’ll never meet and wouldn’t cheat with even if (somehow) the opportunity did arise.
A friend of mine’s husband chose this same safe path. His wife immediately thought the reason for his answer must be that he was secretly attracted to someone he knew, someone “real” and not unattainable. Sometimes there is no right answer.
